Hey guys and girls,

Here a thread that could be a reference to all of us that own a GSG 16.

I will start, look what came in yesterday, the parts fit with no midification at all,i was nervous it would need some mod to fit,but no it"s plug and play,

-So far,G3 retractable airsoft stock that was laying around.
-Real G3 handguard cut to fit the front
-And GSG-5 to GSG-522 conversion kit.

For now i dont think it will stay in that form,i want this one to look like MP5 navy, but ill keep the stock for a future second GSG-16 to look like G3 with full handguard.

Put mag safety spring in the other way, that way the mag stays in the gun tight, without that bar, the mag flops around and cause malfunction.

Second of all, if you boys put a set acrew in behind the trigger plate, it stops the trigger from going all the way forward, eliminating that 6 feet of pre travel.

Uses a 4-40 set screw, i have a bunch of those when build aero precision ar15.

Thirdly, if you have light strike, put in a 23lb 1911 hammer. It fits and IT IS a btich to put together because of the extra tension.

EDITED NOV 25TH:

Some version of the lower i got in do not have the rail block, it just has a dingle berry rear take down pin hole.

However, this does not affect the way the lower attches to the gun. When you install the stock, the stock adapter still retains it by bottoming out at the top of the receiver and also the lower portion on the stock adapter. This is an actual improvement as you no longer need to slide the bolt carrier and lower out at the same time to separate the two. Just like a real mp5.

----------------‐----------‐------

The collapsible stock is a classic army stock, the 2 bar are actually made out of metal and a soft rubber pad.

The fixed stock is of actual Norinco mp5 stock that needs trimming.

As for the lower that all the people have been asking, it is a Tokyo Marui mp5 that i have. Disclamier, it does take a few hours of modding and dremel to fit. Primarily the safety selector hole, dremeling out all the partition inside. If you are shopping for a lower, this is what you need to look for.

The pin hole block at the end, and a complete empty lower. Some lower has partition on the inside.

If you ever find one, pm me the link and i can have a look for you.

So far the 2 successful lower i have gotten was:
My old school gen 1 blow back tokyo marui lower ( which actually has a trigger and hammer)
My other honger friend who has an ICS.

Nice, picked up a kit from them. I was considering buying more and reselling to make up for the shipping cost, but decided it wouldn't be worth my time. I wonder if it's possible to source them direct from Germany. I guess now I'll have to find some push pins, a rear sight, stock, and handguard. Might replace the lower with airsoft to get the correct fire mode graphics.

I have contacted GSG on facebook about this, they saw the message but never responded ...

I just realize in my 4 kits,3 are kit number 2 and i have 1 kit that is number one,and in the kit number 1 i have 2 cocking tube lenght, the normal and shorter to make MP5-K,pretty nice !

I have the kit as well, i put the gsg 16 back on because it was better built. True, the gsg5 tube made it looked more authentic, but the front tube end is a lot thinner than the gsg16 one. I know for a fact it will be a matter of time before that #### hanfle tube comes flying out the front.

For those that want to use it, if you ever have a gsg 1911, the recoil buffer from that will fit, or you trim a regular 1911 shock buffer to fit.

For those inquiring about push pin, any airsoft mp5 push pin will fit. Mind you the gsg 5,522 and 16 were all airsoft lower from Umarex
