The GSG 16 modification thread

Anyone here able to 3d print a magazine body can you message me I'd like to ask you a few questions

Morning... define 'able to print'. Anyone with a 3d printer can print a design if it already exists. Your next words seem to indicate that you're interested in people with design skills? (I could be wrong though).

And yes, if one was to design a magazine, they could make a model that contains anywhere from 5 to 500 :)

Oh fk yeah, finally got stuff from the China.. now i have to fit everything together :)

(Still waiting for my completionist kit from another nutter though)

Yes I mean design one idk if anyone has made them before iv searched quite a bit and can't find anything if someone was able to do it I'd like to buy a few from them (that being said I have absolutely no clue how hard it is to design something like this)

Wouldnt be that hard if the person has an actual mag to check dimensions. Have you also looked at other GSG models that share the same mag specs?

For anyone curious, I'm currently working on a rear attach point design that would allow most airsoft grips with 'open ended' attachment point (bottom part) to work with the GSG platform (top part).

Here's what I have now (the orange block).

I started the design to mimic the actual whole attachment point, to which I will now do a negative of the 'open ended' one on the airsoft grip. The end result would be to be able to sleeve this block over the open ended point and epoxy it in place, thus maximizing the mating surfaces. This would keep the receiver(s) parts intact.

As soon as I'm satisfied with the sleeve, I'll post it up for folks who want to get a more easily attainable 'airsoft grip' for their gsg.

Maximum 'pew' mode :)

Me?

It's a CMYK airsoft one (i think) it's the one from tiger111hk. It fits in the front from the screw hole, but that back is a little floppy. I'll have to investigate adding some kind of shim/etc to secure it better on the GSG parts, AFTER i investigate this 'straight mag' project :)

I installed the same handguard. Mixed up some JB Weld taped up around the sloppy area, added the JB Weld to the low spot of the handguard, pressed it together, let it dry and trimmed it. Nice and snug now. Also built up the area under the filed down rear sight block to fill the gap, touched up with matt trim paint, looks way better.

I have the same handguard. And the same problem. :)

Believe it or not, I bodged some thin foam in there, then took up the space with a piece of shelving I snatched from the IKEA spare parts bin on my last visit there. It's about 90% of the way to being right, but if anyone happens to come up with a 3D printed solution, I'd happily throw some dinero their way...

Ill have a look after the straight mag project. :)

Right now, I have a theory-working conversion block for using open ended grips with the GSG
