The GSG 16 modification thread

I know ive had a lot of questions for you guys, but, I have another.

Does anyone know if this new Dlask barrel will fit the GSG15? How cool would that be? We could call it the GSG15k. Lmao! Sorry Curtton, I know I'm bad. Lol! Seriously though. Maybe I buy a second barrel if that would work. More business for Dlask for sure.

I know the first gen MK22's had their issues, but nowadays the 15 runs like a champ. Minus the Friday at end of shift made guns, lol! I almost wish after I'm done messing with the 16 I'd have a project for the 15. I have some pretty good ideas for it, but, I lack what a lot of you guys have and that's tools. I have a ton of AR build tools but that's about it. You have all been great for knowledge and artistic excellence. Please, put up with my quirky stuff and keep inspiring me. It definitely helps with my loss I feel over all my soon to be lost AR projects.

The barrel seems to fit in the same way but the block is alot bigger on the gsg15/mk22
 
Hey guys I’m looking to get into this platform but can’t get over the plastic lower. Is it plastic or nice polymer like a glock. Does it feel cheap? And do you guys buy this gsg5 kit because the previous version had far superior build quality, especially the lower I see you all replace. Thanks for your time.

I replaced mine with the gsg conversion kit and I took the original lower and jumped on it a bunch of times and it didn't brake and believe me I am not a skinny fellow

doesnt feel cheap... and the 'lower' is the grip, not a firearm per say.

Heck i even sanded mine to a polish and it's still stiff.

Another thing. Shouldn't we make a new designation for the new short GSG16? I vote for "GSG16k" for Kurtz. AKA, short. What do you think? Only thinking from past German products that would add "k" on the end of their shorter carbines and smg's. Like the MP5k for example. Can we make this official???? Lol!

No no need to add anything. We're on thin ice already. Because BL doesn't like the GSG 5/552 kits. And already a extra cost just to warranty the ATI or guns with kits.

And if we add a K. Gives the RCMP to make us have pinned 10rd mags.
