Looks awesome, how are you guys mounting the HK style rear sights? Did you just remove the rail or were there other mods done? Thanks a lot!

On the SD version above it looks like he shaved the upper receiver and filed a ledge to hold the diopter rear sight.

There is a separate GSG 16 thread showing how to shave the receiver. I'll post it up again when I'm back on my laptop.

These parts kits with the different styled grip - are they an improvement for those of us with big hands, or is it about the same?

The grip is the same size although it does not have the finger grooves which makes it more comfortable if you don’t fit the mold. Other than that the lower is just a closer copy to the original. The front cocking tube is pot metal and has the hooded front sight and is the biggest improvement from the kit (IMO).

probably most valuable from the kit is the cocking tube/front sight combo. the lower not so much cos we seen someone here sanded out the finger groves, it looked really nice.
