The gun room?

I have a reloading room,Guns are in the liveing room. With a few in the bedroom because there is no more room in the gun cabnet.Wife is after me to put guns away all the time.DAN>>>:dancingbanana: :D

I live in an apartment right now so I don't have a gun room but I am working on buying a house and I am sure to have a room dedicated to guns. I will put my safe in there along with all my reloading tools and anything that needs to be locked up will be in there. I just have to buy a house and proper reloading stuff, a safe and then I am good to go. Oh yeah, a heck of alot more guns

I as of yet don't have an official dedicated gun room yet but the space I do use takes up one closet, 1/2 the basement and 1/4 of the garage.

My fiance(just got engaged yesterday) is totally ok with it though and I have the whole room planned so all we have to do now is figure out where we will be.

Congrat's on the engagement. My wife is not too sure how she feels about guns. I have taken her to the range and once she squeezed off a few .22 rounds it was hard to get the gun away from her.

I got the furnace room again but it's nice and warm in there oh ya hot water tank and service panel too. It's decorated with a Bell demarcation box DSL modem and a router cable splitter box, a freezer and my hockey equipment (sometimes that doesn't smell so great). But I have my locker and a bench and my stool. What more do I need?

Always had one, moved about 3 years ago and the first thing done was to build a gun room, my wife gave me a 6 foot by 20 foot area the wall I put up is 15 by 20 plus a reloading and shop area 20 by 20 but had to leave a 30 by 20 rec room so I have the bows in there and the computor

In my first house I closed in the basement stairs and turned it into a vault for my guns....the few I had.

In my second house I built a 12 x 12 room for my guns..

In my third I took over what had been a kitchen in the basement for my toys.

Now......I have a room to store my guns....and a loading area.

Actually over Xmas I am redoing the loading area.

Here's some pics of mine

Cat please stop showing off that beautiful Mannlicher, my keyboard can't handle the slober!

That is an epic room man, very nice! I want pine on the one wall in mine too.
I have a big slab from a tree trunk close to 28" at the widest that I hope to put all my antlers on. Who knows for the rest......

What do you need to do to store the firearms like that legally? I hate my steel safe, it is so jammed packed and tight I fear for scratches every time I pull something out.

Well that makes mine look like a furnace room.........ok ok very nice Cat I'm turning a shade of green here. But no lever guns, not even a Marlin. its just not natural.
Kidding about the lever thing I only wish I had a room and guns like that very nice

That is a very organized gun room cat and mighty cool I might add.... The room is a vault? Or are the guns vaulted?
My Gun room is very clutered and has spilled out into the family room.....

After years of the "furnace room thing" I finally had enough!:D
When we moved into the new place, the War Department stated that I could use the bigger of the two rooms downstairs for
"a nice gunrooom for you" !!  :D
Now , she never forgets to remind me that I have the nicest room in the house, so I have decided to do th upstairs in hardwood flooring.
Shoulda stayed in the furnace room!:(
Seriously, thanks for the compliments guys, I really like it also!:dancingbanana:

Lever guns? There are LOTS of lever guns there!
Just that they are SINGLE SHOT lever guns!!:D

Plan to make one as soon as we move into new house being built (if you can point me to gun room how-to's and useful design considerations that would be greatly appreciated). I don't reload but burn suprlus ammon en mass, and with two years old son I feel I'd better have all my crates locked... Gun save will stay in main bedroom.

I moved into a new house about 6 months ago. Most of the basement was finished, however, there was a 12'X12' room that was not. It is now finished, and has a 12' loading bench along one wall. Also has the couch and small television, and works as well for hanging out as it does for reloading/cleaning guns. I can't imagine not having a room like that.

When I designed it, my largest loading bench to that point had been about 5'. 12' is huge...right? No, it's not big enough as I have found out. In fact, I'm not sure how large you have to go to actually have a bench "large enough"! :D
