Just beautiful! I have an original 1865 Spencer and an 1863 Sharps in 50-70 like yours that I love. There’s just something special about 19th century American firearms.
contact148 mentioned Finn Nielsen as having examined my MP40 and Lanchester smg.
I ran across Finn Nielsen's name when I was researching Bruce Strader a dealer in Smiths Falls who I bought two guns from.
It is a bit of a sad story-- Bruce went deaf and the authorities withdrew his dealers license.
He was licensed for 12.3 & 12.2 guns and had a huge collection of WWII--modern and antique guns.
His wife pressured him to sell his stuff due to his health and it was sold at Switzer's Auction on June 1 2013.
Bruce died on March 17 2015 at age 74.
I used to visit him during my summer holidays as my cottage was not far from where he lived.
We fired the PPSh-41 shown below in his backyard using 9mm blanks---he had two barrels as this gun was used for re-enacting by one of his friends (Victor). Bruce was selling this gun for his friends' estate.
The Winchester M97 Trench Gun show below was a beautiful piece. (Both have been sold)
