The Help an Idiot thread. Lost ejector for my M305 Bolt

Well the Idiot stick smacked me a good one first time reassembling the bolt and I shot my ejector somewhere into never never land.

Can anyone help me to find a new one. New to the platform and don't have many places to look yet.

I still have the spring but I have a strong doubt I'll ever find the ejector again.

Hopefully the stupid has worn off now.

I know armtac has alot of m14 parts and accessories. Not sure about your particular part but you never know. Also allied arms is into m14's as well if I remember right.
 
"...M14 parts..." An M305 isn't an M14. Contact Marstar. They're the Canadian distributor.
"...shot my ejector somewhere into..." Inside? Magnet on a string. As daft as it sounds. Princess Auto sells magnetis brooms too. That'd be kind of extravagant though.

Inside indeed. Will give the witch hunt another go today but such a small part and I'm pretty certain there was a ricochet involved. Trying to manage to laugh rather than cry. Stupid me.
 
Sunray......OK, M14/M305, fair enough. I have a sadlak gas piston for the m14 on my m14/m305 and it works great, weird, not getting into it just saying alot of parts are interchangeable if not most. And i'm sure and ejector would be interchangeable. Take it easy I'm a redneck who loves guns not a gunsmith or engineer, lol, jk.
 
Hey Sunray, not to mention that is the most insignificant and miniscule correction ever, theres mods who call the norinco an m14, you going after them too?
Like I said not picking a fight but just saying, a little respect for your fellow posters even if they are newbies with low posts. I may be new on here but not new to guns and own quite a few. You seem like a knowledgeable guy but pick people apart over the most miniscule of things just gets them going. Next you'll tell me an M1A and an M14 are totally different too. They are not, ones a civilian version without selector switch for full auto and full auto capabilities, thats pretty much it. I have a norinco m14/m305 with lots of M14 parts as I said, totally interchangeable.

Across the basement behind the fish tank and under a chair. Unreal...

Bolt is back together and M305 is happy.

Not to mention that it actually says M14 on the box they come in. So it is a Norinco M14...

M14 production tooling was sold in 1967 to the Republic of China (Taiwan), who in 1968 began producing their Type 57 Rifle. The State Arsenal of the Republic of China produced over 1 million of these rifles from 1969 to the present under model numbers of M305 and M14S.

In China, Norinco and Poly Technologies have produced M14 variants in the past for export, which were sold in the United States prior to the enactment of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994.[25] They are currently being sold in Canada, Italy and New Zealand only.[26] They have been marketed under the M14S[27] and M305[28] names.

A method I use when I know there will be a strong possibility of something going "ping" and then oh s**t where did that go... Get a large clear garbage bag and work inside it... sounds crazy but it works.

This occurred to me... after i shot the stinking thing across the basement.

I very cleverly managed to pop the extractor off of the bolt of one of my Savage at our outdoor range. It went into the coarse gravel and altho I saw the direction it went I couldn't spot it. So, back the next morning with a 6" magnet on a handle, 3 or 4 sweeps of the magnet and I found it. (This part is only about 1/4" square by 1/8" thick.) Give it a try.
