What makes this rifle so expensive? Innovative tech? Rarity? Both?
Because people think they should sell for stupid amounts of money. The first ones in the country sold for around $2200. Then when they change hands they magically are worth double of what someone paid for them.
Yes, but those were 2,200 dollars at 1995-ish currency valuation. More like $3,300 nowadays?
The SL8 is a $2100 rifle. The G36 really isn't any different in terms of production cost.
