Blaser R8 grade 3 custom and it has to be in 308 because if you hunt enough there will be a time when you will forget your ammo and have to run into the local Walmart. Been there, done that.

Easy.

Tikka T3 Lite blu/syn in 30-06
with good glass, something in the 4'ish x 16-20'ish power with a 1" tube and 44 or 50mm objective, get good low light viewing

pretty much my current setup so I'm probably a little biased ;-)

Ruger # 1 9.3X 74r loaded to 2650fps with a 250 grain ACCUBOND. Sub moa rifle, short and handy. Will kill 99 % of all game in the world with afermentioned load. Shoots flatter than an ‘06 with 180’s. From deer to sheep, bear, moose and a giant elk, all have fallen to one shot from this rifle. Topped with a 1.25-8 6500

14" barreled TC Contender carbine in 338JDJ #2 = 180gr Accubonds @ 2500fps good for up to moose at 300 yards...

I LOVE German T1 reticle! I don't get why its not more prevalent anymore.

This hunting rifle is a beauty Sir.

Aw C'mon

What a bunch of Fudds

How about a 30 round mag AR with co witnessed flip up irons and a red dot like I ran with naked and unafraid in the 80s?

For coyotes and light game sure. As my only hunting rifle, heck no. I wouldn't want an AR10 due to weight and length of receiver, but I'd want more energy than a small frame cartridge.

Found mine.
You silly geese are doing it all backwards!
Coyotes to moose/elk. The ever unpopular 7WSM!
The only short mag to outperform the full size mag.
Still working on loads. Rl26 under 165Game changers or 160AB’s
Fierce CT Edge with HCA 1:8 I at 22” no brake, I like my hearing.
Z6 2.5-15x44 in low talleys
My man Omer put it together for me. 6CC83596-1568-404B-B1B5-E5B293B5EFFD.jpg45E36BB9-FD4C-4DE5-B71A-D79EA772CE43.jpg

Nice set up. I like your choice of cartridge too. Perfect do everything round. I’m planning a similar build soon but I’ll be opting for the full sized mag just for availability reasons.

My Holy Grail rifle is a Brno ZG47 chambered in 7x57.

After many years I found one in the carbine configuration.

Top of the mountain.
