Wow those are drop dead gorgeous!!! Mind if I ask how much they cost to special order from Colt? Assuming you went that route.

Very refreshing to have old school elegance and classy refinement vs. New age tacticool anus rails and crap finish. Whomever started putting rails and crappy finishes on 1911's and revolvers, I'd like to :kickInTheNuts: ...

My 1911 has been a bitter disappointment. The extractor broke off and was lost, so I haven't fired it in a while.

I have to find a good but reasonably priced gunsmith in the GTA.

It's a Llama IX-A 1911 in 9mm and has never shot well, but when I do fix the extractor and mag (might not be worth it) I'm sure it will perform well. Pics from dealer of actual pistol:

I think if I win this contest it will be based on having the most ugliest and non functional 1911.

I just might have to buy a new one lol!

I bought them 6-7 years ago when the CDN dollar was near parity with USD. Bought the presentation grade on Gun Broker for $2400 and had it imported by Prophet River. The other one is just a current model Colt Custom 38 Super that I slapped fake MOP grips onto, Paid around $1200 for that one. It's still available in the Colt catalog, I believe Tenda had some in stock not that long ago.
