The Infidel - update w first group

Rick, thats a very nice target and you might find this hard to believe, but I know of an old geezer who would be more than willing to give it a test drive in an F-class match....just as a favor to you. :D

Oi, geezer! I thought we had the visitation rights for the Infidel sorted out already!

Sweet looking action Rick!!!! I may have to trade off my Sako TRG42!!!!

I ran the targets in "On Target Precision" and the first 3 rounds out of the Infidel went into .267 MOA!!!

Glocks' target went 5 rounds into .181 MOA!!!!

Not to shabby since they are Canadian Made!!!:nest:

Congrats on a great looking / shooting product!! I have done a lot of work with a Canadian bow company and speaking from experience, there is a long road ahead, in convincing others of the quality of your product.

I have shot a few of your masterpieces and to those who bash without hesitation, Should step up to the plate and experience a real shooting machine!!!

Again Great Job!!!

I just want to set the record straight.
The fabulous group Glock shot was from a rifle I built him a couple of years ago based on a Nesika action. He was certainly shooting "well" that day.

The initial grouping from my Infidel was`pleasing, I am anxiously awaiting time o work up loads for it and really see what our creation truly is capable.

I appreciate your kind words. I agree that it will still be an uphill battle to convince the Canadian shooting community that a well made product CAN be`made in Canada, but I am very happy with what our little shop has created and believe that those who are wlling to risk buying a Canadian made product will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product.

My apologies if this has already been answered, but I got sick of skimming through 21 pages or people whining about the price...

Is this action cut to accept standard double stack, double feed AW mags, or just AICS mags?

Actually no-one else asked.
The AW mags would require a larger diameter bolt and bolt way. We tried to use the AW mags on a prototype and lost the rear inch of the feed rail totally which then allows the bolt to rotate and jam unless the mag is present.
So we opted for the standard AICS or Morta mag cut out.

And we still do not have a final price worked out yet

Regardless of how good my gun shoots, I'm infected by the 'Infidel' bug and want to have that action in a more Nemesis 50 style stock. AR-15 grip, hopefully folding stock, room for a vertical grip and bi-pod and maybe a little lighter due to a slightly lighter barrel contour. There's the wish list Rick.

Hey You know the saying around here.
" Be careful what you wish for" :D

Morta are the next best thing... are you getting some in?

Accurate Mags aren't bad either. You can seat out to 2.950" COAL and they actually hold 12 rounds. They aren't any shorter though.

Hmm...sounds like a winner to me.

The Morta mags also let you seat to 2.950" COAL, but are shorter. Height is half way in between the AI AICS 5 rd. and 10 rd. mags.

I had the opportunity to see the Infidel at the Kamloops Gun Show and to say I was impressed would be an understatement. It is esthetically beautiful. Bolt tolerances are tight and yet VERY smooth. The recoil lug design with an external indexing key (Versus conventional pinning) makes switching barrels something you can do in a matter of a couple of minutes.

The action is beautiful and I applaud them for their efforts and such a great product! I will be buying one.

I'd like to see the Infidel grow up to a .50BMG. That mated with a True-Flite barrel on a tube-gun style stock is my dream come true.

Only took 20 rnds to the range, spent several getting the scope centered, some more treating and fouling the barrel and then Greg took the last 3 shots and produced the group in the photo.

Thanks Again Rick for the chance to try out the new toy. Sorry about the flyer!!! Group could have been a bit smaller.:D

Great Build, Great day, OK company;)

So when do I put my order in???

Greg
