The Jacks are gone...again! Anyone seen any Jack Rabbits?

You could not find any jacks and know you killed all the breeders that were left? Next years post haven't seen a jack all year.
 
have seen one jack on the farm this winter . southern perth county . lots of coyotes .i think habitat loss is the reason for declining numbers . 40 years ago the country was full of them . more small farms then not the cash cropping like now .they seem be found in old hay fields with a fair bit of growth left in them. have seen baby jacks born into snow covered fields .anyone else seen this .
 
the only jack rabbits i have seen are living right in the middle of town. no stray dogs and i guess the coyotes are staying away so far..
