What kinda trigger option do I have for the 9mm version?

I bought a TriggerTech at first. Love the trigger to death but it has many random issues with trigger not resetting. Tried out diff the ammo and it reduces the problem abit but still occurring once in a while randomly. With the OEM trigger being the only changed part for multiple swapping tests there was no issue at all so pretty much nailed down to the cause is the trigger since the 8 trips to the range the OEM trigger can do 200 rounds each without a glitch but the TriggerTech will fail almost within the first mag.

Replaced it back with OEM trigger. Did some polishing and managed to reduce the pull from 7lb to 6.5lb down to 5.5lb to 6lb. Still nothing compare to the 2.5lb TriggerTech but I'll take whatever improvement I can get. However, the main issue is not with the pull but rather the reset. The reset is just long and horribly awful.

I can live with the 5.5lb pull but any further action I do to help improve the reset? There were a lot of resources out there talk about how to reduce trigger pull with polish and spring etc but there isn't a lot talk about improving the reset for AR triggers or reduce travel etc. Any other aftermarket trigger that had been tested and will work for the JRC?

Just installed a POF drop in trigger and KNS MOD II pins. Highly recommend. It's clean and smooth with quick audible reset. 3.5lb pull 100% better than factory or worked over factory parts. Zero issues after a blazing 140 rnd test.

If you are having issues contact JR directly. They will work with you to resolve issues especially if you have an early design MKI. They may even upgrade your tube/buffer free of charge.

To be perfectly honest I don't want the newer tube (what the gun has), I preferred the older tube and buffer design. Worked great for 9mm. This newer design doesn't allow for a milspec tube option and thus restricts to just commercial spec stock options. Also adds unessesary length to an already long rifle.

JR sent me an old style buffer no problem, so I was able to convert a newer carbine to a milspec tube. Just specify in the comments that you want the old style buffer to convert your rifle to a milspec extension tube.

Actually got one more question.. not sure if anyone else already asked. Is there any places in Canada where they sell the 9mm replacement barrel? Or the only possible way to get one is to fine an exporter like irunguns to import it from JRC with no other choice at all?

Perfect thank you much! I will contact them.

Do I need to replace the buffer spring as well or will the current one still be suitable?

Looking at buying a JR Carbine in 9mm soon,
Trying to figure pricing, and were to buy,
What did you buy yours for? and form were?
Have not found for less then ~1,170 Taxed and shipped so far online,,,
Local gun shop International Shooting Supplies has none in stalk but can bring on in for 1,289,,, forgot to ask if that is with tax.

The MKIII JRs have been released. I would wait until we get them up here to buy unless you find a really good deal on an MKII. That being said their pricing has also improved on the MKIII models but limited colour scheme options. I wish I had waited to get an MKIII with the keymod rail.

I ordered a new spring, bumper and nylon disc as well, but I think the spring is the same. I needed the bumper and one small nylon disc to get the correct bolt travel.

Do the MKIII have any change other then the quick release?

As for the new Gen3 stuff I love that new fluted takedown front tube. I wonder if I can order it from their site as parts. I hope it retro fits on my older gen takedown model.

From what I understand, (and part of why I am so into getting this rifle) you can order any of the new parts off Just Rights website store and it will fit and work with any previous rifles.

If there are changes to the barrel nut they would include one for you. If I recall they will fit directly on earlier generation JRs.

As for MKIII changes, they claim new, lower pricing. Down side is they did away with the colour scheme options for the most part. The new keymod 13" rail, quick release buffer tube and small weight reduction measures are the main differences.

I will definitely be ordering a 13" keymod rail for my black JR. Makes the Canadian length barrel look less silly.

Ok folks just finished my build. Love the setup now, just looks more fitting.
Mods added:
