NICE! ^ I too was out hunting with my trusty JR on the 1st day of 2019. No coyotes came in, but I did stumble across this little trouble maker!

Do you have pinned mags? Wondering how you legally hunt. Did you buy three rounders or pin the mags yourself v

In Alberta, hunting magazine capacity limits are only set in place for big game and birds. Small game hunting has no mag restrictions outside of federal law, and neither do u need to use expanding ammo! So FMJ coyote hunting using a T97 loaded with a pistol mag is A OK here in Alberta.

Have any of you fellas tried installing one of the Keylock or M Lok handgaurds that you can order on Ebay, or Ali Express, and does the supplied barrel nut work, or can you use the original nut?

Just order one from true north arms. Multiple people here, including myself, have them on our JR carbines and they work great for a good price

I already ordered the handguard and it was in tansit to me. It arrived a few days ago, and was pretty easy to install. I used three of the supplied shims, plus a heavy shim that I just happened to have in stock. This allowed the barrel to tighten up nicely, and the handgaurd to align properly with the receiver.
