The JR Carbine Thread

Hey Everyone. trying to find some info. What's the different between each of the 3 generations? Is there an easy way to tell what generation you have?

I had a gen one rifle and it had a few issues with FTFs and occasional FTEs (as well as the mag overinsertion problem). The JR Carbine website has videos on how to upgrade it (that's how I knew I had a gen one because it had none of the upgrades). I contacted JR for info on how to order the upgrades, they asked me for my serial number, determined it was an early build, and asked me to ship the rifle to them. A few weeks later I got the rifle back with all the upgrades (new bolt, buffer assembly, new barrel - threaded, others) for only the cost of shipping one way. Phenomenal customer service. The gun now runs 100%.

One of the main reasons why i keep my JRC and not upgrade to a FX9.... mine works 99% of the time, does everything i ask of it and Just Right Carbines appears to have my back if it doesnt!

I have the gen3...it’s had 2 boxes of factory ammo though it, and about 2000 rounds of my reloads...ya I know..JR saids no reloads, but, never had a problem. Great little..but not lite rifle. Bolt handle, has come loss a couple of time..but not JR problem. I put an after market stock on it...and the buffer tube was too long...it keep coming back and hitting on the bolt handle! I order two new bolt handles and put the stock..stock back on. Need to make a spacer for my other stock.
It’s one of those rifles, that will never leave...

Does anyone know if the button on the magazine assembly is the same size as the AR. On ENOS there was a pic of an Odin mag release on a JR
Thanks
