The JR Carbine Thread

The charging handle is a bit small, but you can build it up with electrical tape or similar at negligible cost.

I am having issue with the charging handle. I have seen that you can buy a bigger one aftermarket but the shipping is as much as the part!

Any tips are appreciated. Are you just winding a bunch of electrical tape or anything more than that?

Anyone having issues of mags dropping free while shooting ?

I had 2 mags fall out back to back , maybe i didn't insert them hard enough into mag well?

I was using factory glock mags 10/10 btw

I always do a push-wiggle-tug as a matter of course.
My most reliable mags are the Magpul PMAG 17 GL9 pinned to 10.
Native 10 rounders have way too much spring pressure when loaded, compared to pinned 17 rounders, because of the unused 7 round flex.
That may be preventing proper latchup for you.
Also, try loading with the bolt locked back so you don't fight the spring pressure at all.

Thanks for the reply , the mag could of been the issue with too much pressure as they were 10/10

I have never had any issues with 10/17 or 10/33s

Good to know I'll keep an eye out for what mags iam using and what is doing what

Will try with bolt locked back next time as well, which i haven't been doing

Cheers

I had a regular AR-15 adaptable in mine, put ~12k rounds through it without issue before I sold it.
Now that they make triggers that are specifically designed for 9mm blowback guns that's what I'd get.

Anyone have issues with the back of the firing line mushrooming, then stop firing.

I have filed the material back, and it's functioning again, but I think I am going to order the new pin.
