For a great buy this week at just 200$ I picked up a 1945 jungle carbine (M/47C) produced by Birmingham Small Arms Factory (Shirley) in the UK.
It looks like she's been through hell but holds a respectable zero. Post up your jungle carbines guys!!

Did someone fill in D&T holes on it? Still for the money I think you did ok. Oh and just so that John doesn't have to say it, it's a Rifle, Number 5 Mark 1. Ha ha. I really like the wood on it.

BSA Shirley manufactured in 1945- S/N BB9724.(M/47C)
Purchased in the late 60s early 70s from Fraser's (importer) in Montreal.

Awesome pics, mine is too beat up to post pics. Groups good at 50m still have to try100 next time I'm out at the farm.

My front sight post is way way to the left haha I don't know what happened to my old girl but if she shoots, she shoots

I had an all numbers matching Jungle Carbine, including mag, but the flash arrester was removed, rear sight removed and a nasty hardwood Monte Carlo stock to replace the original... I traded it for a m10 ross (sportered). Was that a decent thing, to do?
