Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread on it. Has anyone got any experience with the Kimber Rimfire Target (the actual pistol not the conversion kit)?

I'm wondering what it's like as far as reliability, handling, all that good stuff. I've been waffling between going for a 9mm (or perhaps even larger) and a .22 for my first pistol, and I'm still gathering as much info as possible before I make a decision.

Well, .22rf is cheap to shoot, which promotes trigger time and skill building. And since you're going to end up with more than one anyway, go with the .22 first!

I have one, and I like it, but it is my only pistol and I only have a few hundred rounds through it so far, so I can't really say much more about it.
Almost the exact same dimensions as a "real" 1911, but way lighter.
Personally, I am still getting used to the grip.
Sort of annoying that it doesn't stay open on the last shot, but thats the way it goes.

You seem unsure if you want a 22 lr or something with a bit more punch.
What I did was buy a g17 in 9mm and a glock conversion kit in 22lr.Problem solved i have the best of both.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

pc: Yeah, I've thought about conversion kits as well. I most certainly am confused - it's basically trying to decide whether or not I mind the expense of centrefire as opposed to rimfire.
