The lightest and the smallest .22 semi-auto pistol?

Beretta 71 with NR 4.2" barrel. That sucker is small.

Moe

I looked for one of those for ages, not interested in going through the work of having a barrel made. Is there anywhere you can actually get them in 4.2"?

The Browning 1911-22 black label regal has a metal frame and only 1oz heavier (edit: than the Browning 1911-22 with a polymer frame).

I'm sure the polymer frame is just as good; but if you prefer the feel of metal then that's an option to consider.

just for giggles.
guns available right now and their weight as per spec sheets i could find.

Ruger 22/45 Lite 22.7oz
ICCS M22 23.2
S&W M&P22 24oz
Browning 1911-22 15.5oz Compact 14oz
Swiss Arms SA22 24.6oz
Beretta 71 aprox 17oz - hard to find info since they havnt been made since 1985!

Second this. The Norinco M93 Sportsman (a clone of the Colt Woodsman gen 1) weighs 25 oz and has a barrel length of 115 mm (4.52 inch) and the overall length of 212 mm (8.35 inch). And what a shooter! I own the upgraded GSG 1911-22 and the Grand Power K22S and the little Sportsman is on par with both of them in the accuracy department. Fit and finish are very, very good. Indestructible because it's made of steel.

i'll chime in and say the same. bought this for the wife and she loves it. also good for young shooters. nice small grip.

Colt Woodsman or the Norinco clone for a lot less money. Both are light weight, compact an reliable.

Yup... best kept secret in CA. Great value for the money.

Have two. It's the only pistol I own that the wife will even attempt to shoot. Right handed and left eye dominant. Shoots weak handed.

Ruger SR22, factory at just over 17ounces, ares will be a little more for longer barrel.

Shoots everything, is modern and ambidextrous, just need to order extra mags from States as there hard to find locally.

No love for the Walter P22?

It was my first pistol, super light weight and small.

A friend had one. It cracked it's slide upon discharge and his forehead was the recipient of a piece of shrapnel.
Good thing this firearms was just handed over to him from his younger son!!

Could not pay me enough to own that kind of cheap & dangerous so called UMAREX made junk pistol.

Another buddy had one and got the recommended laser for the front end too. It had to be disassembled completely for cleaning, hence the laser has to be re-sighted in every single time.
yeah........
