That pic should be part of the firearms course. Maybe then some new guys would believe us old farts that barrels do blow up and not do some of the stupid things we did like cut shells.

Ask my old buddy. He goes for a pair of shoes in the mall and the girl from the back room hollars what size was that again sr. He hold up his two hands and she says not to be smart SR but do you need a size 10 or 8 1/2. He had a few finger pieces removed on a skeet field on day when a barrel blew.

Can't see how a plastic shell is going to contain the pressure so well that a steel barrel is going to split and lead shot does not compress.

I wouldn't use steel shot.

During the Depression when people literally starved to death, fine, do it to feed your family.
We have better options now. Maybe in a life threatening real life wilderness survival situation. That's about it IMO.
