I was happy...but it was time to get the trigger down to 1.75lbs;) and bed it so after a long time working on it I put her all back together, tightened the action down to 65"lbs I loaded up some more ammo and off I went again this time I fired three shots to confirm zero then I shot a 4 shot group...(I know I only had four rds left,I am still trying to find it magic load:D ) here is the pick of that group

Do they make the LTR in .223? On a side note...a buddy of mine guides at a Caribou camp in NWT in the fall and had a Othodontist from California come up there with a LTR who had never hunted before but had taken some kind of marksman course where you had to hit a gong @ 800 yards 5 out of 8 times X 3 (or something like that) to pass and they found a nice bull at about 400-500 yards and his other Orthodontist buddy passed up the shot and he decided to take it and called a neck shot with a pretty good cross wind and planted it high on the neck just below the skull. Apparantly it scored pretty good too.

edit...I found out they do make one in .223

Hey Jamie, I had Hornady TAP 168gr BTHP's & Fed 168gr Gold medal match Sierra BTHP's for the longest time....You'll get max performance out of that 20 incher with the Fed 175Gr Gold medal match (Assuming you're using factory loads),,

Of course with handloads, the sky's the limit!!

AB69

factory ammo....dude you must not shoot alot or you have way too much money(if thats thats the case send a poor boy like me some money:runaway: )

here is a picture of the 20MOA Warne Base,I am very happy with the height and workmanship of this base!!!Top notch stuff!!not nearly as high as a Ferrall base

Jamie,
I can't decipher the source of your LTR...
PS It looks as if you could use a lower ring or maybe your neck is
extraordinarily long!;)

I'd want one!
Nice rifle though! She's gorgeous :D. Wait...is this an exclusive "LTR" club???

Paulinski: Good choice :D. As for LTR vs. 700P: you'll theoretically get about 120fps more at 100m with a 700P because of barrel length.

I know for a fact, there is myself, Steve David, Jamie & a few CGN'ers who could be member of the LTR club :) Rohann, you're invited for sure & any other takers??
