The M-14's are in.

And it's here. :D Great timing, the courier showed up while I was home waiting for the cable guy (actually make that cable chick) to show up & replace my cable modem.

The 1911 looks good, I got it cleaned and ready to go already. The M14 looks good, the wood at the front end of the stock is pretty rough but otherwise seems decent, the barrel definitely needs a couple more degrees. Lots of cosmoline dripping out of it everywhere, guess I'll have to disassemble it to clean it up.

Is there any M-14 left? They are saying Stock On Hold...

Also, anyone here knows a website for used WW2 weapons in Canada? I mean like auction or something like that?

MapleSugar, there hasn't been new production in years (not sure how many). All these rifles are being assembled from existing stock of components.

Hmm.. well this is a conundrum.

Pros:
I really really want one
The price is great
Forged steel

Cons:
Ammo scarcity (these days it seems)
Frowning Wife.

Clearly the Pros outweigh the Cons! :dancingbanana:

here's the thing about ammo...... I am positive that due to the demand for surplus ammo..... at some point in the future there will be lots more availlable. I'd bet dealers are stumblin over each other trying to find all they can..... and are just waiting for it to get here and clear customs ..... we all know..... them boats are slowwwwwwwwwww
and we all know..... people want to make money....... so filling the demand = more profits for dealer........
my 2 cents on the ammo situation.... and we should all know by now that IT IS ALSO ok to shoot factory 308 under 174 grain....... so.....

who cares about the cons....... by a norc m14 already :D

Damn! I can't justfiy another one!! I just wish there was someone who sells Norc M14 specific spare parts. This USGI, imperial, metric, threads incompatibility, blah blah is giving me a headache. The only reason I would get another one would be for that reason. Otherwise, I'm fine with one. PARTS!!
