Ugh,

It's finally happened.

After only 6 months of toying with different ideas with my m14 (m305), I have come to the realization that 1 m14 just doesnt cut it. I want to keep the long gun, but i also want a shorty to put into my brand new Blackfeather stock. easy solution... Just bought a M14 shorty. gotta love the cheap prices of the norc stuff.

Just throwing it out there, How many of you have more than 1 m14 in the locker?

and... what kind of set ups make them different from eachother?

Yup, I did exactly the same thing. Almost sold the shorty after I bought it, but decided against it.

I have my shorty in a USGI stock with a UTG rail....going to go scout, and my 22" is in a M14S-CQB stock with an ARMS 18 mount and ARMS 22 rings, with a 3200 10x scope.

I have one in a scout config but would like to transfer this to a shortie and scope this in a more traditional way. That is if I can get my hands on a reasonably priced shortie.

I have 3 of them ...I blame Hungry for that by the way..lol

Put me down for 4. 1 Blackfeather 18.5" shorty (untouchable), 1 modded USGI fibreglass stock, 22" in OD green, 1 boyds walnut, 22" (nicely stained) and 1 black norinco plastic stock all with Turner AWS slings.

1 shorty in a Blackfeather, 1 long totally stock. Brother shoots the long one better than me and has begged me not to change it, so I need at least one more that I can play with.

I have 2, and would get another in a heart beat. Fun guns. Easy to work on thanks to the CGN expertise shared throughout so many threads.
Working on a shorty with Blackfeather stock (Thank-you M14.ca for such a creation). In my opinion a very high quality and great value stock. Eh.
The other is a long barrel with USGI stock.

I bought two, in order to split the shipping cost with another guy.
A few years later I did that again, with a different guy.
So, bought 4, still have 2.
One is stock, the other has the ProMag stock. (shown in post 11 above. Mine is set up close to that)

Ya that bug bites hard, I got these 2 from LRB via armtac this fall, M14SA 18.5" medium barrel and M25 22" standard barrel both factory built, except for SEI max pal trigger groups. I liked them so much that I ordered a shorty m25 over Xmas. Also ordered a utimak rail for m14 I'm torn weather or not to scout it or just leave it irons.

I am in for 4 .1 norc in a usgi stock, A shorty norc in a vltor modstock with a casv rail ,a springfield M1A loaded in a sage stock and a springfield supermatch in a JAE stock. Optics well that seems to change on a regular basis for some strange reason .I have been fighting the urge to order one of those shorty lrb that armtac brings in.
