The M14/M1A CASM® scope mount Question for anyone that owns one.

Love this mount

I have two m305s, both great and really accurate for an autoloader. Use the wood stocked 18" for hunting. Mounted a bushnell scope on a casm m14.ca mount. The rifle was sighted in opening morning and rode back and forth to work with me every day and down backroads every time I went out hunting. Shot the same on the last day of season, no loss of zero.
Liked it so much I bought another for my 22" barrelled build rifle. Rather than getting the cantilevered sage mount.

I have the steel one and can't complain about performance.

When you consider weight though on such a heavy rifle - ounces count. If the guys are happy with aluminum you should give that a try.

I have an ARMS mount and it does jam occasionally. I was thinking of taking the plunge and getting a CASM mount but still unsure. I have a Sage EBR stock and ARMS quick release low mount rings and Vortex PST 1-4x24 scope. This setup is very heavy, so I would like to use aluminum CASM mount if there is no difference in performance. Does anyone know if the low ARMS quick release rings would be high enough?

Lower the better, the CASM is a tall mount to begin with. Only thing to consider is the diameter of the objective lense of your scope clearance above the handguard, which won't be an issue with that scope.
That should be a really fun setup to shoot, 1-6x is beauty. Only other thing to consider is maybe do a quick google to see if anyone else has mounted that scope on the M305 and had it damaged by recoil. I doubt it will be a problem, but the rifle is a little recoil intense.
