You're left handed? Not an excuse - Canada's best Enfield CDN Ranger shot is a left handed undertaker. I know it's exhilarating and disturbing all at the same time.

cool. I am assuming bolt actions only?

Should turn into a competition between Enfields and K31's.

You can try it with any gun you care to, but to be valid for Riflechair's experiment it must be a SMLE No.1 Mk. III rifle reloading with stripper clips. The point is to see if anyone can replicate Snoxall's reported feat. Doing it with any other rifle may be fun but won't be relevant.

I think for his challenge it said any Lee Enfield variant.

Unfortunately I don't own a Lee Enfield but I will practice with my P-14 until I get around to acquiring one. Personally I have always been in doubt of Snoxalls feat, I believe it is made up as he supposedly did it within the inner ring as well. That being said the next record I do believe in, it was 36rds on a 48" target which I believe is definitely possible.

You can shoot this with any rifle you want but anything other than an Enfield variant won't count towards the achievement of the record. Rifles should be fed by clipped ammo to count. I'd say if you don't have an Enfield you now have time to acquire one and start practicing. Seriously? You don't own an Enfield? Lol

Neat.

For those looking for stripper flips, eBay has them for not a ba price. Well, better then gun show prices anyways. A guy from Australia has Packs of ten, twenty, thirty, forty and I think fifty.

I was under the impression that the mad minute was done from a standing position in a trench. I recalled the fairly impressive footage at 0:25. I believe there was a "mad minute" standard that all riflemen had to achieve but I don't recall what it was, it was defiantly not more than 30. I never got the opportunity to shoot with any ww1/ww2 vets, but apparently they could really crank out the rounds!

Yes I've seen that video before. I believe the purpose of this video was to show case a new weapon platform to politicians and senior brass. However It is possible that the musketry regulations and convention had changed by 1951. Certainly the requirement circa 1912 appears to have been in the prone position.
