Nuclear - therefore, whether it's an AR or other rifle is irrelevant! I read the analysis last year and I'll jam as I don't remember the source. They are at least 5 years away from having any capability to conduct operations outside their borders. Millions of soldiers - lots of belted ammo, cluster bombs, fuel-air bombs and scatterable munitions. Too easy.:dancingbanana:
 
continuing on the topic...

How much does the weight factor weigh in ? (ok bad pun intended). The AR feels VERY light. I am not sure what it is like once you strap on all the goodies but when it comes to quick target aquisition the AR must be a huge factor and advantage.

I personally find the swiss arms a bit cumbersome in weight and balance and by comparison non-chairborne must agree?

Is the AR the lightest of the bunch?

I suppose a lighter rifle will at least mean you can carry more of something else like say AMMO!!!

Nuclear - therefore it HAS to be conventional, is what I'm getting at. Or would US risk all out nuke war? Chinese has ample amount of belted ammos and bombs too. AND million soldiers. I honestly don't think they will just stand there and take it. If your bombs are outdated, then just drop alot more than your enemy.

My last salvo...

China has no expeditionary capability but to stir up some trouble along it's borders. Conventional vs. manoeuvrist - it's not size that matters but in defeating an enemy's center of gravity which makes the difference. Take a giants legs out, he lands hard on his face.

ya I know I was wondering the same thing. I actually used to own the Yeager/Mitchell Arms AR15 and the AK47 22lr copies. They were hunks of flaming ####.

Now I own a DLASK AR and it works fine. Not too many jams if any and if any its because the mags sucked. Now I have good mags and its smooth as a baby's arce.

Never used the gun in combat so I cant say if its crap or not. Sounds like that Ogre dude did though?

My limited experience with the C7 was good, as has been my experience with my two civvy ARs (have yet to have a FTF FTE or any other problem with my Norinco, of all things!)... only issue I have ever had is that they AREN'T any fun to clean! :mad: Aside from that, like some of the others have said, I'd take one over most of the other options out there.... but that's just me :p

only reason I'd really be interested in a gas piston upper would be that it'd probably make the damn thing easier to clean!
