The Mall Ninja SKS - Updated 4-17-11

Sounds like the Firesight is a Dud, from a couple of people now.
Everybody take note, it is not a functional piece of equipment.

I am going to give it one last try tomorrow weather pending. It turned into cold crappy day here and I decide that I wasn't going to go out in spite of wanting to get a better performance out of it.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate ... looks to be -4 tomorrow, I just hope there will be no snow and wind. :D

If that Williams site doesn't perform, it's not even going to be resold ... circular filed.

deadly stock where did you get it? I am looking at an SKS myself because it seems like a reliable and cheap 7.62 rifle but I do not like the look of the wood stock, seems like it would not be the most fuctional design.

Most say that it shoots the best out of wood because of the front cross bolt. It provides a more stable set up for accuracy, not that you get sub-moa group out in the first place :D But the LOP of the wood is too short for my liking.

I got this stock from sksman.com The fit is tight and is lighter than the factory wood and most other aftermarket stocks.

I like it, i didn't have good luck with the tech sights when i had my sks, never was able to get them stay put when firing, might be effecting you accuracy....

I think I got it ...

Well let me be the first to say it, my groups suck.

BUT ...

I did manage to get them within my goal of 9 or better ... almost. 1 single flier got me a 7 and that was all my fault.

I went off prematurely :p

I installed some wolfe springs the other day after the first attempt. And rather than swap off the Williams site, I decided I would give it another go. This time I dropped the TS200 as low as it would go before burying it into the housing and started over.

After 30 test rounds, this is what I got ... 10rds on target at 50yds without have to hold under like the first day.

very cool.. i'd cut that bayonet lug.... looks out of place. but that just me.. :)

The thought has crossed my mind. I'll never use the bayo on it, it's dead weight in my opinion. But I don't want to bring myself to ruining the parkerizing just yet. I want to do the ejection port mod on it as well but I think I'll wait until I scratch it up a bit before I take the grinder to it :D
