The man with one gun

if i only had to have one it probablly be my 280 rem,but would be a super tough choice not to take my 338 wm either.heck with it i keep em both, plus a few others just to play with!lol

If it's gotta be only one gun then only a 12 ga shotgun will do, and even then only with at least two barrels and a handful of chokes includimng a rifled one to spin a slug. My choice would be a Rem 870, an older model for reliability. But if you mean only one rifle then I understand why a 308 or a 30/06 would be the choice because of the wide range of bullet weights available. My choice though would be a 6.5x55 just because I'm used to it. A Ruger mk 2 would be ideal. But I'd even settle for a Swede mauser. No caliber is good for everything from gophers to elephants. In the end it's best to shoot what you know.

one gun works for me...as long as you mean one of each, make, caliber etc etc ...Honestly I get almost as much fun just looking at them as shooting them. I may not appreciate fine art but give me a gnarled piece of finely checkered English walnut and I can stare at it for hours...
