Client with a .375 Ruger Alaskan.

Dogleg's .375 H&H Model 70 Alaskan taking appropriate abuse,

The Merkel 140AE .375 H&H in drier places, and then colder places,

RSM .375 H&H chasing my first African Big Five animal,

Same RSM with a meat bull wild Bison, and again something warmer, and then colder again filling the freezer, then predator thinning,

You've had a bunch of time in what I feel is the best hunting in the world Johnn- BC! That more than qualifies as the stuff of dreams.

Holland & Holland Royal .375 Flanged Magnum

.375 RSM in Africa with my brother, and then solo on more plains game,

Thanks guy but my dreams/hunts of these last few years have been in AB for the most part, with my Daughter & Son In Law as my partners and guides, graylake. Primarily Mule Deer on draw and an Antelope hunt most recently. My 'Favorite' is still Moose in the BC central interior. Trouble is these days, in area 5 where we have a cabin, Mr. Moose 'opportunities' are all on draw now.
Oh, great photos and thanks for sharing.

Yep, .358 Should be included in Mid Bores!?

Great set of pictures Ardent.

some nice rifles, got to ask, what were you thinkin selling that model 70 in McMillan?

Good with me gentlemen, .338s and .358s are in then. Hard to accept a 9.3 and not a .35 Whelen of .338 Win.

The Royal I found prints very nicely with H4895 and the 270gr Hornady Interloc, imagine I'll have it try the DGX as the Interloc's out of production. I can't remember the charge off the top of my head but I believe it was 63grs.

I only suggested this because I want to throw my new M77-RS Carbine .358 into the ring... I have never become enamoured so quickly with any rifle... it was "love at first squeeze."

I'll play... I recently purchased a Ruger RSM in 375 H&H. I am a man of modest means, and the Ruger RSM in 375 H&H incorporates nice features like folding rear leaf sights and Circassian walnut but is still affordable.

This is the rifle I will take to Africa one day. I have a dream of harvesting a Cape Buffalo along with other plains game. Pics of it being used while hunting will follow, fingers crossed!

Cheers
Jay

Anxious to see that one myself.... Where did you manage to mine that unobtanium?

Got very lucky and made the acquaintance of another Ruger collector in Texas, through a mutual Ruger friend... he was able to fill a few of the holes on my "Want List." Best of all, his network is huge and we now have the basis for mutual trading.

P.S - All rifles are NIB!

Good stuff and congrats.... I went with a hawkeye in the Whelen instead..... looking forward to your pic....

Absolutely Hoyt I'll see the .358 very soon as well!

And Jay that's awesome, the bad news is you really don't need any of your other guns anymore.

That is where metal gymnastics come in to play... finding some imaginary means of justification for all the others...

While I anxiously await Hoyt's .358 Win pic....

Ruger RSM in .375 H&H.....
