The Mossberg Flex System 500 and 590

Why Mossberg? They have got to stop letting video game designers into the lab. If you can't wrench then go back to the city and bl0w your boyfriends.
They should be focused on quality control, and geting a 6" factory 500. on the market.
Oh ya as per my earlier comment, not that theres anything wrong with that.?

Pssh screw this garbage.

Look closely at how much of quick mount goes into the stock......likes like maybe 2 inches at most.

Now use that stock as club and smash through some doors, walls and people....what will happen??

Are you in the habit of smashing through doors, walls or people? Just out of curiosity, just how much material do you think the bolt on a standard stock is attatched to, inside said stock?

NO it cant be! I dont beleave it! Mossberg made a gun that makes sense????? 2012 is near

THANK GOD there is no chain saw grip option :p

Enough material is holding it strong to never have given me any worries, let alone a HUGE BOLT torqued into place, not a little tab I can lift wit my finger nail.

Yes I am in the habit of rough housing my firearms.

Ive used the shotgun as an extension of my arm when cutting through dense bush in middle of nowhere with my machete to hold brush back.

I've used the shotgun to crack open crabs, nuts, coconuts you name it.

Used the stock as a fish club to kill my dinner.

I've used the barrel and stock to smash out vehicle windows in emergency situations.

I've used my shotgun as a crow bar to pry my way into things.

There is a damn good reason I have the most abused Dominion Arms 12.5 with the highest round count in the country, it goes everywhere and can be used for nearly everything.

I don't even think a nuclear holocaust could render this shotgun inoperable.

If anyone wants to buy me this Mossberg product I will gladly give it the GROVE'S ABUSE TEST.

Bad ass.

Wholesale sports advertises parts on their website. They have the pistol grip and the ar style stock on there, not sure if it's in stock or what. Still interested in feedback, if anyone has tried one.

I bought it in august 2015, seemed pretty cool. Only have had a box of turkey load thru it. I got the 18" and 24.5" deer barrel combo.. it was a good deal but I'm looking to sell it!

Wholesale had a good price on the 500 flex tactical weeks ago, but there are lots of may not appear as pictured warnings on their web site and the written description had a wrong barrel length listed (who knows what would have sown up) ...... Plus I wanted to see one in person. I like that 590 too, but I was thinking the 500 could pack up even smaller with the barrel easily removed ... Could make a nice takedown shotgun, but with an actual full stock.

I'm curious how well this sort of thing holds up over time.
My experience with quick change tricks is they tend to get lose over time.
10 years from now you may not be able to keep the stock on...
Time will tell.

I'm not even sure, if a normal stock could be attached, if the flex one broke. What little first hand accounts I've seen online, suggest it's pretty solid. Other than the stock and forend, it's just a regular 500 or 590a1 and all other parts are compatible.
