The NEW Auto Mag!

I was just checking the FAQ section of their website and estimated pricing is $3499US, or almost $4800Cdn. That's more than a little rich for my tastes. :(

Here's an update for you AM fans...One of the principals has posted this on the Auto Mag Site:
We expect to be shipping replacement uppers soon. Then we will start selling new uppers with original frames and shortly after that we will be shipping all new guns. All will be done before then end of the year. We just put up our shopping cart and started selling parts and magazines today. SBR is production ammunition at less than $50.00 per box for 240 gr JHP.

Their website is up for parts too: tp://automag-com.3dcartstores.com/Original-Auto-Mag-Parts_c_11.html

Well there seems to be a few still interested in this so I'll post the email I got today:

If there is only one pistol in your collection...
This should be It:
The 44 Auto Mag Founders Limited Edition

After too many months to mention, and a lot of setbacks, we are days away from shipping the very first new Auto Mag pistol, the .44AMP with the eight and one-half inch barrel [like Clint Eastwood used in the Dirty Harry movie, Sudden Impact].
The MSRP is $4495 but your pre-order price is just $3995.

The good news is this: After just two years, the waiting is almost over. You can pre-order one of just fifty Founders Edition pistols being produced. Serial numbers will be 00101 through 00150.

The catch? You must pay for it in full in advance. Your Auto Mag Founders Limited Edition will be delivered within 90 days or you may cancel at any time and receive a full 100% refund. In case of demand beyond 50 pistols, you will be added to a waiting list in the order received and so notified. If anyone requests a refund the next name on the waiting list will be notified.

But you must first act within the next 48 hours. When you signed up on our website you indicated a willingness to "step up" and we want to honor that commitment.

If you don’t have an FFL you will need to make arrangements with a dealer in your state for delivery. To receive a little swag from America's newest firearm company, please provide us with your men's t-shirt size.

How do you order?

44 Auto Mag Founders Edition Complete Pistol: $3995:
Simply TEXT "Build my Auto Mag Founders Edition"
To: 843-595-4878

We will TEXT back our bank routing and account number for you to "wire transfer" the money. You must wire the money.

This offer expires Monday, August 28, 2017 at 5:00pm EDT.

P.S. If you are an accredited investor [per SEC §230.501 Regulation D] interested in learning more about possible investments in Auto Mag Ltd Corp please respond to this email with your Name and Phone Number. This email is not an offer to sell securities.

So if you guys could pony up 5k I'll be happy to test it.........gee I wonder if I could 'go fund me' this..............

lol, must wire transfer the money? yea sounds super legit/safe

I have to agree. I think I'd be very hesitant to wire money to a start up company with no track record that may or may not be in business long enough to produce and ship my order. It's telling that in the same email they are looking for investors/

That's for the 'deal' on the pre release only. I'm sure any company making Auto Mags is legit.

Hey, that's what happened to Harry Sanford too isn't it......

Looks like production in being handed over to Excel Arms in Arizona. Don't know much about them. I hope QA doesn't suffer as a result of the move and that this project has more staying power than the initial run.

Silly me I thought a Tokarev would make a good poor man's Glock 20.

Excel Arms. They make(or made) a .22 Magnum carbine, & were trying to bring a blowback .30 Carbine long gun to market. It appears they dropped the .30 Carbine idea somewhere along the line. Too bad Excel is only interested in domestic sales.

Larry Grossman is overseeing production and since we'd be hard pressed to find another machinist with Mr. Grossman's expertise and history with the Automag I'd say it's in good hands at Excel.

I don't think Excel is doing anything but production though. The company will still be selling the AM independent of Excel and having said that, I've asked about Canadian sales and there's no plans yet to set up a distributorship here but of course you can always import one.......... ;)

And my wish-list just keeps getting a little bit longer every week that goes by... If someone ever makes a working reproduction (even just half of it working) of the Blade Runner pistol, then I'm really in trouble.

That's what I am doing - going through Irunguns.

I've wanted an Automag forever and bought one 5 years ago - 6" barrel.
But this remake has me interested and so I pulled the trigger. An Auto Mag with an 8 1/2" barrel in 44AMP.
If the company follows through then there will be one in Canada for sure.

Or this will turn out to be a bad bad plan. But nothing ventured nothing gained.....
