Ok so initial thoughts...
As you probably all know the issues encountered with these new Pythons I knew exactly what to look for when I opened up the cases and handled these. I'm happy to say that they are both sound. No issues to report, all screws are tight, both front and rear sight are rock solid, the cylinder release latch operates flawlessly and is not loose at all.
What I find strange is that these two were shot from factory and by the look of it, Colt probably shot a dozen round through each before boxing them. I guess that if some units are shipped without both front and rear sight they obviously (I should guess) aren't shot from factory?
Oh and the best part...
They both have great trigger pulls. Slightly heavier in the 4¼".
Average is 4lbs 13oz SA & 8lbs 7oz DA for the 4¼" and 4lbs 7oz SA & 8lbs 2oz DA for the 6"
I'm wondering if these had some kind of tweak from factory when with the new updated mainspring, most are talking about a 5-6# SA and 10-11# DA pulls?
