How does it perform shooting anything other then BIRD SHOT?

The short barreled shotgun will cycle anything you put in it. Bird shot, slugs, buck shot, etc.

The full sized shotgun will cycle moderate bird shot all the way up to slugs and buck shot. The heavier the load the better for that shotgun. Without the gas system modifications to the full sized shotgun all it will cycle reliably are the warmer shotgun loads.
