Instead the Liberal government will ban and confiscate (from licensed, RCMP-vetted firearm owners only), any firearm with:

a “semi-automatic action”
that “is of modern design” and
“is present in large volumes in the Canadian market.”

Is it any wonder Canada’s licensed gun owners get so frustrated?

I guess all those Valmets will be worth even more after these clowns stick to this criteria!

IIRC, if they ask for restricted then they'll only get restricted. Done deal. If they ask for non-restricted, the lab will have to find a reason to make it restricted and that will be due to barrel length. Easily fixable with a longer barrel for future iterations.

I still don't get why the CSSA is sending this. Literally nothing new. Those comments are all referencing the May OIC very clearly, not a pending new one.
