I was on the Remington websight looking at all their new rifles that they are coming out with this year. Im particularly impressed with one of them. This is the Remington Model 700 XCR Tactical long range in 300 winchester mag. I was wondering how much would you think the price diffrence would be between the normal XCR and the Tactical. Im thinking personaly around 20% to 30% more. What do you guys think? Do you think that it would be worth the extra money? Im really intrested in getting one of these as soon as I can afford it. My schooling will be soon paying off as there is a pulp and paper mill shutdown right after the course is finished :dancingbanana:

I haven't seen the specs but long range and tactical usually means HEAVY. Would be cool for the range but a ##### to carry while hunting.

ya the rifle alone is around 8 1/2 lbs add a bypod, scope, sling and what ever alse you would want and it would be around 12 lbs so ya not that light of a gun but for those long range shots and trips to the range i think it would be cool to have.

I'd guesstimate that it will go for around $150-200 more than a Sendero or 700 Police

rumors suggest a big price jump on Remington rifles for 07, but that is yet to be seen, probably wont know until March

I'm kinda excited about the 17 Fireball myself

I find it hard to believe people are willing to spend much more of the Remigtons then what they are priced at  With Tikka T3's being so popular and the new T/C bolt action at a decent selling price and Kimber comming in at 1300 in the hi end market it will be interesting.

I agree with ya. My budget for my next rifle will be in the $3000.00 range so ya i want a tactical rifle with some good glass and i think that this should fit the bill. but that wont be untill atleast the summer. Cant wait for that shut down :):D;)
