I am shocked that Gunnuts allows this profanity to be printed out in statements or comments. Yet Gunnutz places ###X on mild swear words or even the word sh1t.
Use some class when trying to make your point, and without using the Lord's name in vain please!
Thank you, I appreciate that......But ill stop. As I like your posts and be stupid to make a enemy over this guy.
Personally I find alot of the newer models crap. They're poorly machined. I have a target lite and the barrel fitment is loose. The alum sleeve on the barrel had to be centered as it was off. Alot of the pins walk out on the bx trigger. Target lite is only a few years old model. As fred0000 stated, the Ruger 10/22 came out in 1964. It's an amazing and reliable semi-auto rimfire rifle if it is kept relatively clean and one checks for any worn extractors or very dirty magazines. I have fired over 800 rounds between cleaning, very seldom have a fail to eject or fail to feed issues. I have learned that if one cleans every 500 rounds, most 10/22's will never fail.
I remember taking my first 10/22 apart in 1994, not much for internet in those days. I learned by trial and error how to disassemble, clean, and lubricate these fine shooting rifles. Have taken these apart and reassembled over a hundred times since, once you figure out the action, it's really very simple. Of course, not so simple in 1994!......LOL
The combination of available accessories are colossal to say the least. This rifle can be made to look like grampa poopy-kins plinker to a full on military-type sniper firearm. Notice I did not say "assault rifle" rifle, as there is no such thing, just a feel good term for corrupt Liberals and Democrats.
With Volquartsen hammers or trigger kits, the 10/22 can be an absolute tack driver. CCI Blaser ammo as well as Mini-Mag solid copper plated solid points shoot extremely well in all the Ruger 10/22 rifles I ever owned.
And of course there is the confrontational opinion of the Government owned and operated RCMP about the 25 round high capacity magazines on legality or not. I'll leave this idea up to the individual. All I can say on this is, Freedom Baby!.......![]()
I agree. The older 10/22 models with the 245 or lower prefix on the serial number and the metal trigger group models seem to have better quality receivers and barrels.Personally I find alot of the newer models crap. Never had issues with my mid 90s model.
I do like the look of the 60th year anniversary.I agree. The older 10/22 models with the 245 or lower prefix on the serial number and the metal trigger group models seem to have better quality receivers and barrels.
In saying this, I have seen some of the 50th Anniversary models that were excellent shooters as well. Of course, after the poor OEM trigger was upgraded or had Volquartsen parts added.
The 10/22 is an awesome sweet shooting semi-automatic rimfire that would put a smile on most peoples faces while target practicing or hunting!.....![]()

It increased, when they decided to do post for EE access. It forced people that had no intrest in partaking to partake, so its lower quality posts. You could be absolutely correct, In saying that, who doesn't like talking about Ruger 10/22 rifles? They are great guns!
Let's concentrate on enjoying this, rather than worrying about some troll....LOL
Unfortunately the trolls seem to be breeding and multiplying on this Gunnutz site. I thought the administration was supposed to try and stop this from happening.
