The new S&W Govenor

When Taurus first introduced their version('05?) it was called the 44Ten and fired 3 calibers, 45Colt, 410 and 44-40. It didnt take them long to figure out that using the 44-40 in a 45Colt chamber was not a selling point as it had no accuracy and ruined 44-40 brass. It was later rebranded to The Judge and became a huge success in the home defense and camp carry markets.
I guess S&W also want a piece of the pie....Maybe its their way of getting back at Taurus for producing S&W clone guns in years past.

They are okay for the 45Colt, certainly not a tack driver by any means. Using 410's, the only benefit is that u have multiple projectiles and maybe one will hit the mark. I was not impressed. In fact, a friend of mine who is a retailer in the US offered them with aftermarket interchangeable chokes which made a huge difference with the 410 load. They are a fun gun here in Canada, but cannot be used for what they were intended(personal/home/backwoods defense).
Its your money, spend it on what you want.
