The new Savage 110 BA

Hutchster, if it's made the same as the 10BAS, that "thin" part where the stock meets the action is a fairly substantial piece of square tubing. I don't think you need to worry about it breaking or bending. ;)

SWEET Jes, Just talk to aNother fellow at Wholesales&Sport, they got 50 on order from Savage, hopefully: it be here before the summer...

Does anyone know if this rifle will accept any standard long action Savage base? If not, is anyone making them yet? I'm just wondering if there's a 40 moa base for them.

looks almost like a magpul prs butt stock. It looks leaps and bounds better than the buttstock that came with my 10BAT/S. Its threaded to take any AR-15 buttstock but you need a buffertube adapter for some.

I wonder if he's the same guy who brought me 7mm Rem Mag brass when I asked for 7mm Mauser brass, and when I said I want 7mm mauser, 7X57, not 7mm Rem Mag he told me there was no such thing as a 57mm mauser!

I bought the BAS ( with the M-4 ) stock in .308. It's heavy but shoots sub MOA. I'm not happy with the stock, the cheek piece just won't stay where you put it. I initially had a problem with bolt binding due to the coating being on the raceways. Once I fixed that I've been pretty happy with it. I wouldn't pay an extra grand for the Lapua model though. One other thing....the accu trigger is hard to adjust due to the design of the stock.
I'd love to get the style of butt stock they have on the BA for mine, and the +20 MOA rail would be nice as well.

Has anyone heard anything yet on these rifles? They were released for sale on March 21 in the U.S. Heard something about F.R.T. numbers.....

For owners with 10 BAT-S/BAS-K. I called savage this morning regarding the stock on the 110BA. Its a modified magpul PRS2. They arent as of yet selling the stock alone. The guy in "technical support" said when its released it'll be around $600.

I am looking on sourcing the piece so I can just buy a PRS2 stock and install it. If you compare a picture of the 110BA, and a normal PRS2, you can see that the stock on the 110BA is straight in top elevation. If you then look at an off the shelf PRS2, its top elevation rises where it bolts to the gun. From the looks of it, you can take a PRS2, unbolt the "riser" front section and bolt on the piece from the 110BA.

Any info would be of help.

All info I have been able to gather on the availability of this rifle as a whole has been disappointing as far as delivery times. Distributors are saying not until late fall. :(

Ws hoping for an early summer release.

Although through my searching and phone calls, I have decided to have a custom rig built instead of waiting for the 110 ba.

Savage 110BA is a Cool Looking Rifle, I get one for sure, it may last 2 week, the put up on gunnutz for sales.
