The Next 27 Days as Gun Owners

27 days..... That's the structure of time we have to work within that will determine the future of the firearms community in Canada. In these next 27 days everyone needs to quit bickering, no more arguments or old grudges to dwell on. If we want to survive we need to be a community, communicate effectively, and use what voice we have to make sure we still have one in 28 days. I have a few quick points to make, then I will let you on with your day.

We have posted this before, but it is as vital now as it was then. These ridings of 5% or lower, these are going to make or break it. These are the our mission, and it is our duty as firearms owners to act on it. Each one an objective that has to be captured, contained and controlled for the PC Party. Anyone in or around these ridings has to become active, boots on the ground for your MPs are vital. Contact your constituent and see how you can help, sitting back behind a monitor is not always the most effective method, and getting out there and being aiding where you can is critical. There is one thing that needs to be addressed as well, the Peoples Party of Canada.

I want to very clear about this, this is not anti-PPC in anyway, but now is not the time for them. If you know of anyone voting for the PPC, they need to understand they are voting to a cause that will not succeed and only furthers the liberals objective to fracture the community. We need to look at the situation we are in and be realistic about our expectations of our government. No one is truly on our side, and whether you like it or not we are looking at either the PC or Lib party. Those are the two choices we are faced with, one who has said they will not restrict us further and move in a direction to reverse C-71.. The other has clearly stated they will be robbing you of your property and freedoms. They see firearms ownership as a privilege that we no longer deserve, so they wish to take it away regardless of your actions. What they intend is theft disguised as a "Buy Back" program, this is your property and don't for a second think your getting your moneys worth!! Where do you think they got the money for it?

I want to tell you a quick story, ( I promise it's quick ). I went to visit my cousin the other day and we sat down around his kitchen table having a beverage, a couple of his neighboors were over as well for a visit. I hadn't spoken to them for some time so we began to small talk, I asked the basics, how are the Mrs, life in small town ect. ect. and then I asked did you get out and vote in our provincial election.... The answer to this question kills me..

"Nah, couldn't find the time" or "whats the point, conservatives won anyways". This year was one of the lowest voter turnout in recent history.. These answers are unacceptable, and these are individuals who have conservative views and would actively voice a displeasure for the current regime residing over Canada. If you do not vote, you no longer get to speak and have forfeited your voice. Do you want to know how to win?? Show up!!

So...... now is the time ladies and gentleman. No more letting someone else deal with it, no more "ahhhh who cares they will never get back in" talk.. The only way we can do this is by showing up, doing our part in assuring that everyone else does as well.

I will see you out there.

The wife and I will be voting for the conservatives. I am talking about it everyday with friends and family in an attempt to persuade anyone I can. I bring many of my friends out shooting for free. I tell them that if they wish to continue shooting my awesome guns that voting blue is the correct action.

right on.

Not anti PPC. Nor pro CPC.

I just don’t want to punish a party that didn’t do enough the last time they were in power by ushering in a party that will do A LOT AGAINST US.

Keep in mind that the conservatives scrapped the long gun registry, simplified the ATT process, reclassified the 858 ro NR and made it easier to move around with our restricted to certain places.

The PPC might promise you the moon. They know they won’t win. So they can promise 0% taxes, NR AK 47’s and boat loads of virgins to go around. They won’t have to do anything as they won’t win.

The LPC on the other hand promised to take away our guns, pay us back pennies on the dollar (using OUR TAX $$) and treat us like 2nd class citizens. Hell even the gang bangers seem to be in a better position than we are with them. I guess we are from the wrong background, colour or religion for them to give a crap about us.

So bottom line is any vote for any party other than the CPC in this election is a vote for the liberals. They will win. They will take our guns. And they will treat us like criminals.

Turf the turd and vote CPC on October 21st. There is no other choice.

ill be in the booth on election day, everyone i know will be too and they all vote cpc, i know a few fence sitters, im working on them

Canadians ALWAYS fight well and especially when their backs are against the wall......we need to win this election

I told a couple people I know who don't follow politics that if they don't vote I will go to their house and drive them to the polling station. They can google the parties platform in car if they had not looked yet. I won't tell them who to vote for but they are smart enough to make the right decision.

Still trying to convince my hippie friend that the environment will be in 4 years but his SKS and bank account won't be. Its a hard battle with him.

Voting conservative is the ONLY way we keep our property, our hobby, our sport, and in many cases our livelihood. It's too late for anything else but that now, other than convincing anyone on the fence to do the same. Rallying behind a lost cause when there is SO MUCH at stake is foolish. There will be a time for the PPC, but it can't be when we're faced with the very realistic possibility of the most radical anti-firearms laws we've seen in a generation.

As much as I dislike ‘strategic voting’, I’m in Toronto Center. A vote for the CPC here is essentially a vote for the Libs, because only the NDP have a chance of taking the riding.

...Places with that much support for the man child Jagmeet Singh exist...?

I live in Montreal core downtown and will also have to go "strategic"!
Believe it or not, a Bloc Quebecois, an NDP or even a Green MP is better than my current Liberal MP :(
I will double and triple check before voting, but in my riding, a vote for the Conservatives is often a vote for the Liberals.

Living a large urban area brings many issues which are simply non-existing in semi-urban or rural areas.

Justin and Jasmeet could hold a joint press conference in Toronto where they each execute a puppy on-camera, and the CPC would still have no chance of taking the Toronto Center riding.
