The next cartridge you would like Hornady to develop

Dang tootin'. I'm not into centerfire autos for hunting as I hate chasing brass. Having the option of suppressors though is a big deal for saving ones ears. Too bad we be in a repressive country run by corporate overlords & socialist pukes.
f:P:

I hear that, I tried various semi-auto's on coyotes and never landed more doubles than with bolt guns so I gave up on the semi-auto's for the simpler bolt guns. There are pros/cons and trade-offs with either but for hunting, even small fast targets that often come in multiples like coyotes....the bolt action worked just as well. But we should have the choice, we should also be able to all carry 9's on our hips.

Suppressors is a 100% yes, such a safety conscious world you'd think it would be mandatory not outlawed. They ban removing silencers on cars but won't let you put one on something even more harmful on the noise scale? Zero logic. Don't worry, it won't be long now and we will get suppressors, the govt. is just putting all the final nails in their own coffin. Humanity and this world will be going down a different path soon. Korth, sharpen your pencil with Thunder Beast Arms Corp and get those distribution rights lol...I'll be after some 5's and 7's when we finally do away with the anti-human overlords currently hanging on to their positions in the world by a thread. ;)

Something in the .22 hornet range. Essentially a reloadable 22 rimfire. Twisted fast so you can load up and down the .224 bullet spectrum. And have a modern slick feeding cartridge that has great brass. Should be a hit with the foreign legal suppressor crowd, trappers, fur guys that call in close, and backyard plinkers.

22 Cricket or 22 Montgomery or even 22 TCM (and probably many other 25acp, 32acp, 9mm based Wildcats) is what this would be.

A 22 Cricket, (25ACP to 22 cal) would be neat.

Perhaps Hornady should just re-release the .308, and call it the .30 Universal. Maybe change the primer pocket to small rifle, and load it with Superperformance powders. Pull the Apple maneuver and change nothing, claim it changes everything.

“We took what was already great, then applied 21st Century Ballistics Technology: The .30 Universal*.

*Compatible with all .308 Winchester platforms.

hmmm that is interesting

I see that there is the 5.7x28mm

and a necked down 30 Carbine 22 Spitfire / 5.7x33 / 5.7 Johnson

both would be interesting.

In all likelihood they will produce something that barely replicates the ballistics of a 100 yr old round, in a unique case of course so you can’t form or get it anywhere else, sponsor many articles about how revolutionary it is, and people will buy it…..

I’m thinking of something like a 375win in a special whiz bang rebated rim case, they will rename it to something like the “375 Critter####ter” and then tell you all about it’s superior ballistics…..

At least that seems to be par for the course with cartridge development over the last few years…..
