I took my boys, 5 and 7 out for a walk for rabbits and partridge yesterday. They were tired after about 200 yards of walking and wanted to head back. We were almost back at the truck when I spotted a ruffed grouse sitting underneath an evergreen tree. I broke his wing on my first shot, missed on my second shot and finished him with a head shot. The boys were excited and so was I. We came home and I cleaned him and cooked him in beer batter for lunch. It was a great day.

I remember my uncle dragging me out in the duck blind when I was 9. From there it was for small game and then eventually Deer. Awesome memories and a great mentor to show me the ropes. It's great to share your hobbies and skills with the kids. Nice Pic.

Good stuff Slooshark1, I'm always glad to see the younger generation out learning hands on, especially with their dads ;-) My youngest is 4 1/2, so I figure I might start bringing him along next season. This year he's already getting good at cleaning the prepping.
