North Sylva just posted CZ's new promo video on their latest model in the CZ 600+ line up but they locked the thread for comments so I thought given the nature of this forum some of us might want to discuss..... :)

Here's the promo video.

They kept the iron sight layout similar to the old carbine and the barrel length and stock is similar as well.

In my perfect world I might pick a different checkering pattern and figure out a way to get a folding or detachable rear iron sight over the mid barrel location, but I think these will be popular if the price is reasonable.

Yes I like the look of them. 10rd mag is a bonus. I like having iron sights without having to have the humpback stock like the current 600 lux, which is currently the only model of the lineup with irons..

Not sure about the beechwood stock/checkering (would prefer walnut and traditional checkering), and also not sure about the extra lightweight barrel. But I do like the lifetime barrel warranty so no biggy.

I wish the ‘user replaceable barrel’ tag line would either be dropped completely, or SOMEONE will actually start importing/selling replaceable barrels. No point having that feature if there’re no replaceable barrels, or the price of a new barrel is the same as a new rifle.

Not sure when we’ll see these, but I’d be interested to handle one. A good feature set in a small lightweight carbine.

Yes, good job as usual NS... I wanted to ask if there was any ETA at all but since the thread was locked I just cursed them and moved on. Hands down the worst distributor in the country and not just because of how they handle their forum, not by a long shot...

ANYWAY. I am extremely interested in the rifle. I will be buying at least two rifles with a compliment of swappable barrels whenever they arrive. No sense in asking NS so I went straight to CZ specifically mentioning how useless NS is while I was at it. If I get a reply I will post it.

I jizzed a bit.
Was waiting for a deal on a 527 at non scalpel pricing. Even bought 2 mags ... sounds like im gonna be selling those mags now 😃

I was in an on-line auction for a 527 - I had dropped out once fees etc. amounted to more than $1000 - the ultimate "winner" probably paid North of $1600 and plus shipping. I eventually got one in 7,62x39 on CGN for $1400 - mailed to me with three magazines, RCBS dies, Hornady brand brass - Nov. 2023.

These are supposed to have some sort of CRF with a 60 degree bolt throw, sound like a decent replacement for the 527.

Years ago I was buying a gun from a guy at his house and he offered me one for around $700.... I was not really mentally prepared for the offer and would have had to go get some more cash so I declined..... that said I think this new model has many improvements over the old one, that said the old one was a classic and the set trigger would have been a first for me.

The lack of barrels is very strange specially when you consider that this is a second kick at the can after they got scared by the possibility of user error causing issues with the old bolt torque/clamping pressure only with no lug design of the original multi barrel system.

North Sylva indicated in a previous thread months ago that they have not even ordered any barrels and will only bring them in if someone custom orders it and is willing to wait an undetermined amount of time to see how long it takes for CZ to send some barrels to the new world!

CZ should be promoting it by giving the importers a deal on the first order of barrels and making it a requirement to stock all available calibres from the get go.

I feel the same way about spare parts, manufacturers should make a parts kit part of all new guns being imported into new markets.

I want to like it and buy it........but after the CZ/Colt Canada firearm destruction episode I ain't touching their #### with a 20 foot pole.
