The Norc 1911's just landed in Canada !!

I changed my order from a 1911A1 to the nickel 1911 double stack. Already has all the stuff I woulda done to it anyway...except getting it smoothed out.

If my NP30 is anthing to go buy it will not need 'smoothing out'. I initially had a couple of FTF's, but sice feeding it it's first few mags full it has functioned perfectly. The trigger has been as smooth and predictable from the start. I don't know what the trigger pull is but I find it perfect.

No they haven't even charged my card for them. They were supposedly in stock when I ordered a month ago. Two weeks ago when I called they were registered to Marstar.

Mine arrived today!!!!!
the 1911 had the black grips and now comes in a plastic case.
the trigger pull is great and the quality seems much inproved.
One complaint, and I know it has been discussed. These are shipped from China with 2 mags, I wish Marstar would ship with 2 instead of one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you always had the option to order an extra mag ($9.95) which would bring the 1911 price all the way up to $334.95 :)

Did you get advance notice that it was coming ?

I have one ordered but have heard nothing yet.

BTW, Who gave you permission to use a picture of MY girlfriend as your avatar ?

Do NOT order one of those $9.95 mags. They are very low quality. You'll have to bend the lips so the cartridges don't shoot out the top when you put the clip in and you'll have to bend the slide catch otherwise the slide will not remain open when empty. Also they tend to generate a lot more stovepipes. Buy good mags!

+1

Ive got two of the norc 9mm mags and they are junk, constant jamming. I bought 2 mecgar ones off a fellow cgn member and they have been great, no more jamming. the mecgar ones are a much heavier metal, the norc mags are so thin they cut your fingers loading them.

Though I haven't had any personal problems with the Nork mag, my understanding that one reason (apart from keeping costs down) Marstar only supplies one is that so many people go aftermarket for higher quality mags, so less #####ing when one blows a gasket compared to two :)

My Norinco mag that came with my 1911 works just fine it's the cheap extras I bought that don't. They are different and cheaper even than the Norinco.

Ya but it is way past the 30 day return guarantee and isn't really worth the shipping for such cheap mags. Unless I am missing something?

Marstar Guarantee

I would class the magazine as "part of the Norinco Firearm" as noted below. I received a replacement magazine for my Nork Tokarev 6+ months after I bought it. But I do take your point about the logic of returning $10 magazines for replacement.
