Got my hands on a completely untouched NS522 last year. No trigger jobs, no bedding work, nuttin'. Even came with the original washers for 'pillars'! I like the way it shoots as is, even if the action is a bit clunky. Nice solid rifle with outstanding accuracy - pretty close to my heavy barrel CZ457 in fact.

The problem started on a recent Scorpio 13" thread, where 'Dark Alley Dan' reported ordering an original NS 522 walnut stock through Optics Planet in the US for his Scorpio. The wheels started turning, and now my NS522 isn't the most fugly thing on the range. Actually looks pretty darned good. Not the cheapest way to find a replacement stock, but if any Canadian importers find some NS522 actions and put them in this stock, they'd probably sell for a decent price. The rifle really is a gem.

The inletting is very clean and spot on for the NS action and trigger guard. Could maybe use pillars though....
