The Official MDT Tac 21 Thread!!!!! (56k Death!!!)

There is a push pin similar to normal AR stuff so it is very easy to remove the buttstock.

I am unaware of any chassis being tested to destruction :)

but it is a very solid set up and my experience when I viewed the prototype, was impressive.

Adamg,
please keep us informed about how you gun is shooting.
Also, can you please tell me what is a distance between pistol grip and actual trigger bow? I have long fingers and my Milspec 5R is so short (grip/trigger assembly) and need to bend the indexing finger so unnatural. Can you adjust that distant or it stays fixed?

Thanks

Peter

Since it's using an AR/Magpul MIAD grip, the trigger reach will depend on which backstrap is fitted, there's almost 1/4 inch difference between the largest available and the smallest available backstrap.

Going back and reading through that 47 page thread about this chassis system, there are comments that this is a drop in stock. I don't consider it a drop in stock if it doesn't come with a grip, stock or buffer tube... you can drop it in but try shooting it without a stock, grip etc, hardly a drop in. An AICS is a drop in. For the person who said it's $500cheaper than an AICS, I think you should check your math, especially considering you need to buy the stock, grip and buffer tube, $500 cheaper than an AICS, I don't think so.

and your point is what exactly? the manufacturer clearly tells you what is needed to complete your build. due to the incredibly large number of variations available, and personal preferences for stocks, grips, rails etc. it would be impossible for him to supply kits that would satisfy everyone. That should be plainly obvious to anyone with a grade 2 or 3 reading and comprehension ability. Perhaps you should actually read the other thread on this and post your issues there. this thread is for people to show off their new toys, not for people to come piss and moan in.

anny one have an idea of what size of ring I should get for a falcon 5.5-25 X 50/ 56

I will upgrade the scope and have no idea what to get?

That is a great point. For example, on my AR, I prefer my Magpul CTR stock and MIAD grip. Now my son, who just happens to be in Grade 3 and can read and shoot as well, thank you for the example Slavex, prefers the Magpul PRS stock and Panther Palm Grip. This is a great feature about this stock, this way you can set it up to the way YOU want it.

haha I am happy that I didn't already bought the ring!! I also need to upgrade the scope, will be a millet or falcon on top soon!

Anyone running TPS rings with a 50mm bell and 30mm tube? If so, what height are you using to get minimum clearance?

If no one answers; You can find the height of the rings on their site. All you would have to do is mount your base on to your rifle and get someone to hold the scope parallel with the base with the clearance you want between the bell and barrel. Measure between your scope and base and correlate with the site.

Here is the steel ring sizes you need to look at the "b" measurements ht tp://www.tacticalprecision.com/tsr_steel_30mm_DIO.htm

Just wondering if any of you lucky bastards are going to be posting an in-depth range report soon? I'm dying to know how she shoots. Preferably something with lots of pictures of those ###y guns! :D

Heres some more pics just to try and help get this thread back on track, someone else better chime in soon, my ####s old news already...
