The Official MDT Tac 21 Thread!!!!! (56k Death!!!)

HOLY SH!T that's a really nice LOOKING rifle.

I have to wonder what it look like at 22" 1.2" diameter muzzle.

I think so too... And maybe something like this...

I had an issue with the bolt stop not allowing the bolt to pick up the round out of the magazine. Has anyone else had this problem? Its an easy fix that i will try and do tomorrow. The rings i have are about 1mm too low so i cant tightned the scope up, have to wait for a high set to arrive.

If you took a grinder to your rail..you scope would fit just right.

solution a) take a grinder to a $1000 chassis, permanently ruining the resale value and fixing the scope bell to a single spot, meaning a new scope requires, likely, new grinding.

solution b) get some higher rings.

Can someone tell me the purpose of having the pic rail 24" long?..I can see over the action..but extending over the barrel..useless machining time to me.

Front-of-optic night vision. Lights. Lasers. BUIS. Off-axis reflex sights. Cup holders. Stuff. Because you can. If the rails are there and you don't need them, they'll be there later when / if you do. Adding front-of-optic rails after the fact, on other chassis, costs almost as much as this entire chassis.

A goofy example:

Thanx..makes sense now.

I have a Remington 700 SS 5R in 308 just looking for a new stock assembly. The round count is 5 where can I get one of the stock for my 700 and how much are they going for???

Check out this thread. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533750

You will also need to buy a stock, one does not come with the chassis. A lot of us seem to be buying the Magpul PRS. Not sure what the current price is. They have a facebook page:http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=100001840111116

And a webpage: http://mdttac.com/

I also have a 700 SS 5R. Just waiting for it to get shipped back from Alberta Tactical Rifle, I had it painted black with cerakote.
