This batch is a nice one, really well done. The bolt's and machining in general in this batch appear less crude than even my former 'good' examples. Funny, as I bet most of these parts are far from new.
I found that the overall finish of the rifle wasn't as good as previous ones, but mechanically they seem better. That's fine by me as I'd rather have one that shoots better than it looks.

Yeah, my receiver has a little chip or ding, whatever you want to call it right on the top side. Not the end of the workd I guess, but takes away from the appearance nontheless. Not sure how that would happen on a forged receiver really.

Would be interesting to see how much the machining finishing differs between the "really nice ones" and the "not so great ones".

Have had well over half a dozen and still have a good few, and the examples I've seen range blued poly's to the modern M14S, and the newest are the best I've found. The machinging on some of the poly's would make you cringe... The flash hiders on mine were especially ugly, and were helically fluted slightly, which didn't help the appearance either as that just didn't fit the M14 well. Today's M14S's are the sweetest IMHO.

Got my note from Canada Post that they "came by" so I have to pick them up tomorrow. I was home almost all day, do these guys seriously not even knock anymore?

Either way, super pumped to get the new toys!

I know, these pics have been shown before. I tried my hand at painting but I like metal best. YOU have a knack for painting, I don't. Keep up the great work.

When you get that first M14 and stick it in that beautiful stock. You won't be satisfied. The only deterrent from other mods will be your imagination. Have fun:)

Thanks Al. I would love to have an M14 built up like yours! Right now however, I would just like to have my rifle. Good things come to those who wait...or so I hear.

After I ordered mine from Ellwood Epps today, I believe the guy on the phone said I left them with 2. John was his name, however he was very pleasant and had me setup in no time. :)

Got my three today and my pistols, fortunately while the wife was out. To busy to do more than a quick look over. No grease or cosmoline to speak of. Front sights ok, mags go in and out no problem. Worth the wait. First one gets cleaned and checked tonight.:D

Buckle give them a call mine arrived a while back.. Heck they are cleaned shot and one of the restocked already....
And I've been working on a bunch of other things...
