damn rights, representing UofR shooters right here.

what can we expect though? its university, full of liberals, communists, and liberal communists.

im proud im not brainwashed by thier liberal propoganda, man it was rough during election time listening to some idiots (students and teachers) talk out of thier ass about how scared they are.

hmm, its been 3 weeks since the election and the world hasnt ended.

I was threatened by our college admin to dare post anything political...

Well I have an order in for at least one at Marstar...perhaps two if the timing is right. I have a used one coming that I bought here, can hardly wait! I am going to shoot the used one and if I like it I am going to customize the new one (when it shows up).

I just ordered some ammo from Marstar today. I spoke to a gentleman who I thinks might have been the owner. When I asked him when the M14's were coming, he said they should have been herer two weeks ago. He went on to say they have not left china yet. I asked him how many he was bringing in, and he said in the 500-600 range.

500 will only satisfy the demand on this board alone ;)

How can we all shoot M14s akimbo if there's only 500 of them to go around?

Hmmmm....500 is not nearly enough! Sounds like some kind of gun control to me? We need at least a hundred for every province..and that is only if guys don't get greedy and start buying 2 or 3 of them!

What do you all think about possibly doing a group purchase?
I know this has to be cleared by the mods, but I'm only suggesting.
It would be nice to bring down the cost a bit, say shipping and/or taxes would be very nice.
There are quite a few students out there, including myself, that would very much appreciate a group purchase.
I know that the M305/M14S is already a great deal, but helping us students would also help all those involved the groupe purchase, not to mention that it would also help Marstar move their merchandise even faster.
Just a suggestion to help out those of us who would really like to get into the M14S addiction, but need help getting started.

It already practically is a group purchase. If you think $399 is a bad price, think back to the days before Marstar started bringing them in when the very same rifle used to cost around $700.

MilArm, in Edmonton is awaiting their shipment of them as well. They say "it's on the water."

...that's cause they're coming in the same container as Marstar! :D

Everyone in Canada must be getting them through Marstar (well, except Lever!!!!). Think about it... would a company rather go through all the BS hassles for their measly shipment of 50 rifles? Marstar offers 'dealer pricing' to the other guys... it wouldn't be reasonable to import them individually.

Slow boat guys, REALLLY slow boat. Regardless of this post, we will be the FIRST to know in the RFC when they get here.

Makes me not feel bad at all for ordering my two last week for $490 a piece. I didn't want to wait to only have them bought out by everybody while I was at sea , cause with my luck, when I'm at sea in april is when they'd come in to marstar.

I didn't want to come off as being ungrateful, I'm just saying that it wouldn't be bad to be helped out a bit in order to get more people interested in the M14 addiction.

Does Marstar do pre-odering? I am getting kind of nervous that I may not get one with all that is being said. If they do accept preorders, and I preorder one I am guaranteed one from this shipment right?

Look at it this way, you're getting practically the same rifle that people in the US are paying Springfield Armory around $1500 for.
