If you're shooting something like American Eagle or Remington UMC .308 Winchester, it's not so bad and it should be fine in your M305 because it's spitzer point 150gr bullets loaded fairly close to 7.62 NATO levels, but you get problems when you start using ammo with different weights and lengths of bullets or different powder loadings because the M305 is a semi-auto rifle so it needs ammo within a certain spec give or take a little in order to function properly.nemesys said:i was meaning the fact that 5.56 rifles can fire .223, but not the other way around.
