the official "next M305 shipment arrival" thread

My "M-14 .308 Norinco" arrived (nicer darker Chu wood stock than the last one too!) One question though: the sight on mine came way offset. Is this an indication of barrel indexing issues, or did it just get banged around during shipping?

Mine was way offset too. There also looks like there is a witness line scored into the sight and the sight mount which may indicate that it is meant to be over there. I hope not as it looks weird.

check out HUNGRY'S video, its available in another post.a very good tutorial on barrel indexing and more.shows you exactly what to look for and how to correct.i had to do mine and i used it as well as SKULLBOYS Sticky: Re-Barrelling the M-14 post to make my own tooling.it's easy if you have the barrel block,a good vice and a suitably sized wrench.

Anyone know if the combo tool has a spanner wrench on it for removing the stock?
No it dosent. You need a separate tool that has 2 pins on it. It's about $15 from Numrich. If your around Toronto, your welcome to use mine. Mark

The only tool you might need to remove the stock from the receiver is a medium sized screw driver to assist in getting the trigger guard opened. After that the trigger assembly drops out then the barreled receiver.

Well they hit my Visa for it on the 6th. wonder how long it will take to get here? The suspense is driving me nuts. now i just need to get paid for the course i am teaching so i can pay off the visa before the wife notices.

I just used the needle nose plier portion of my leatherman tool. The tips were just the right size to fit into the holes. Then just held it down and turned, no problems.

I've E-mailed Marstar to inform them that I want a M-305 when the next batch arrives and to e-mail me. No answer. Guess I'm S.O.L.

Phone calls work better than emails when dealing with Marstar in my experiance. You're not SOL, just dont be suprised when they tell you the next order will be here in Jan '07.

My Visa was hit on the 8th. I'm eager to get mine, but for some reason my spidy-sense tells me that CP will deliver it in mulitple pieces :(

Damn it! Why cant I just sence dead people like that kid!!

OK... I'm feeling better... Just got off the phone with Mike and I am indeed in the system.. Will probably be the end of the week or early next week..

So the next question is where to get ammo.. I can make some but in the short term I will buy factory... maybe 1000 or so...

Checked my visa and they took out the money for my NP29 yesterday:)
So when they take out the money does this mean its cleard with cfc and they can ship it soon?

Mine arrived today. I am a very happy man, and I am pleased with the service I recieved from Marstar and will definately buy from them in the future.

BTW, the stock that everyone says looks like crap...it does not look like complete crap, it just looks utilitarian.

I just got a delivery notice from Canada Post that mine has arrived. I'm looking forward to picking it up tomorrow.:)

I was starting to think that mine had been lost in the mail. The CFC processed the transfer on June 1st and I just got the delivery notice today, June 12th. So basically it took Canada post 11 days to ship to BC.
